A small enterprise started in 1984 by Mr. & Mrs. Kelkar has blossomed into group of companies employing over 200 people.

How we started

Hitherto most of the metal finishing & deburring operations were done manually. Manual process has limitations on productivity and it is difficult to achieve consistent results / finish manually. Grind Master was started to develope, semiautomatic & fully automatic machines to overcome these problems.

Proven Track Record of Successful Innovation

We are in a niche business where customers approach us for solutions in metal finishing and deburring. We develop and build machines to suit individual requirements and are one of the very few companies in the world who have such a wide range of machines from deburring to microfinishing. Grind Master today has proven track record of successfully developing new concepts & machines for the first time.

 1984 - Technocrat couple Mr. & Mrs. Kelkar started in a small Garage to develop new machines. They first developed Buffing Machine for polishing non-stick pot. Subsequently the automatic machines for grinding parting line of forgings and hand tools were developed.

 1989 - Developed a fully automatic Motor Cycle Rim Polishing Machine which was import substitute.

 1992 - Set up new premises for manufacturing at B-14, MIDC Area in Aurangabad.

 1995 - MK International was formed as a Merchant Exporter, mainly for exporting Grind Master built machines.

 1996 - Marketing tie up with Accord Corporation in Singapore, started machine exports to South East Asian countries.

 1997 - Started representing VSM Germany for complete range of coated abrasives throughout India.

 2000 - Set up a conversion plant to manufacture coated abrasive belts and rolls from Jumbo Rolls imported from VSM.

 2001 - Micro finishing machine with film backed abrasive tape designed by Grindmaster was awarded Best Design at IMTEX 2001 by CMTI – PMT Trust.

 2001 - Formed joint venture company with Lippert Unipol Germany for manufacturing Lippert Products in India.

 2002 - Development of various Micro finishing applications for finishing automotive parts and hard Chrome plated rolls.

 2003 - Entered into Licensee Agreement with IMPCO, USA for Micro finishing machines for Crank Shaft and Cam shafts.

 2005 - Successful participation at World Renowned EMO Exhibition.

 2007 - Consolidation Year – Implementation of companywide ERP – Axapta. Strengthen Infrastructure by enhancing inhouse manufacturing facility.

 2008 - Cooperation with BGM Machinery USA for marketing. Set up demo centre in Chennai and office in Pune to enhance market reach within India.
